Terms & Conditions

In the following terms & conditions of BOARDING, the owner of the pet or pets to be boarded is referred to as "THE OWNER".

1.3.       The card must show a booster vaccination having taken place within the last 12 months and signed off by a qualified Veterinary Surgeon. The certificate must show the booster having been administered as part of a course of vaccinations.

1.4.       Dog Vaccinations must safeguard against the following diseases: Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Parainfluenza.

1.5. Cat Vaccinations must safeguard against the following diseases: Cat flu (‘calcivirus’), feline panleukopenia, FVR (an upper respiratory tract virus), feline leukemia.

1.7.       Your dog must have this at least 2 weeks prior to arrival at kennels. This is NOT part of your annual booster vaccination, it is something the vet may discuss with you at your vaccination appointment or you can request it at any time.  Kennel cough is caused by an airborne infection and thus outside our control. Kennel cough can be picked up by your dog anywhere that there are other dogs i.e. the vets, the groomers, the park, the beach, and at kennels.

1.8       Truthwall Mill will never knowingly accept a dog with Kennel cough, but as incubation can exceed 10 days it may not be detectable prior to arrival. THE OWNER therefore accepts that this hazard exists, especially at busy times.

1.10.    All animals must be covered by a known flea treatment, such as ‘Frontline’, ‘Stronghold’ or ‘Advantage’ before they are boarded. These products have varying lengths of effectiveness. 1.11.    An effective Wormer, such as ‘Drontal’ or ‘Panacure’ must have been administered to any Dog or Cat prior to boarding. This should be taken at least a week before coming into the Kennels / Cattery. Please check with your Veterinary Surgery on how long each product will protect your pet.
